Fashion District NW is excited to offer the Runway Photography Workshop in partnership with the 2023 Couture & Cars Fashion Show. This workshop will teach photographers of all levels how to shoot a runway fashion show. 

The workshop will be held on Saturday, July 15th from 10 am-12:30 pm at the Summit Salon Academy. At a rate of $159, attendees will gain a wide array of knowledge from seasoned professionals in the fashion industry and get a live runway practice session with professional models on the day of the workshop. Workshop attendees will also get a photographer media pass to shoot at the 2023 Couture & Cars Fashion Show on Saturday, July 22nd (www.coutureandcars.com).

MODELING 101 is a way for models to gain knowledge and insight into the competitive industry of modeling. This course focuses on the building blocks and necessary skills models need to become successful.

MODELING 101 will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5th at the Summit Salon Academy Tacoma. At a rate of $159, attendees will gain a wide array of knowledge from seasoned professionals in the fashion industry.

To be eligible for selection, models must attend the model casting for this event.

We are casting female and male models for this event. There are no age requirements for the models, they just need to fit the model requirements, which are determined by the participating designers.

Fashion is ART showcases fashion designers and their unique skills as a form of artistic expression. This is a non-traditional fashion show and can be viewed as a “fashion art happening” where we will display the garments in unique ways to showcase Fashion is ART and Art is Fashion. This event showcases designers and artists as we put them both on display to create a live fashion art gallery.

Fashion is ART will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 6:30 pm - 10: 30 pm at the Tacoma Art Museum.

MODELING 301 is an advanced workshop where will be educating models on the business side of the industry and helping them understand how modeling agencies work. This course will be helpful to any model looking to make modeling a career, models looking for an agency or models that have just recently signed with an agency. MODELING 301 will be held on Sunday, August 11th from 2-4pm at the Seattle Central Library. At a rate of $99, attendees will gain a wide array of knowledge from seasoned professionals in the fashion industry.
